Our Edinburgh Team

I have been the manager at BoConcept Edinburgh since opening the doors in 2016.  With over fifteen years experience in retail management, providing exceptional customer service is such an important aspect of my role.  This has also helped me to build a strong team of designers.

It is so important for us to achieve an unforgettable experience for each and every client who visit us at the Studio.

I strongly believe that every interior should be as unique as the people using the space, so I love helping our clients find pieces that reflect their personalities.

My favourite piece has to be the Boston Armchair. It provides a statement in any room with its beautiful stitching detail and sleek lines, yet it can swivel, recline and is so comfortable too. ( Yes I do have one at home!)

BA Honours in Textile Design

Born and bred Edinburgh girl, via uni in Galashiels and two years working as a Hand Knit Yarn designer in Aberdeen, I have been selling contemporary home furnishings in Edinburgh for 17 years, working with a host of European design brands.  I live with her partner, my daughter and my dog Nora and in my spare time I enjoy knitting, crochet and keeping fit by hanging upside down off of poles…. (Pole Fitness? Learning to Pole Dance?? I dunno)
I keep my colleagues amused by knowing at least every tenth customer who walks into the store and being able to tell you where a house is in Edinburgh just by it’s postcode.
My favourite piece is the Carlton sofa in  tan Sienna leather, so luxurious, slouchy yet classic – like a favourite pair of boots, goes with everything

I have worked for BoConcept since we opened the Studio in Edinburgh three years ago.  I love building relationships with my clients, finding out exactly what it is right for them and their space.  Bringing the design to life, together, is the most enjoyable part of my role as a BoConcept Interior Designer.
Oki Sato’s Fusion armchair is my favourite piece, I love the story behind the design.  The inspiration behind the chair was the Japanese art of origami.  He wanted the chair to appear to have been folded from a single flat cushioned form, it’s such a simple yet clever design.

BA (Hons) Painting and Printmaking

I joined the BoConcept team in 2018. Since graduating I have participated in several exhibitions including showcasing my work at the National Gallery of Scotland with the Royal Scottish Society of Artists Specialising in Watercolour. I love painting in my spare time and displaying my artwork in my own home, bring a splash of colour to my interiors.

I think our interiors say a lot about ourselves and I love to get to know my clients and help them to create a space which reflects them. I think having a space you feel comfortable and happy in is so important for your wellbeing, it also makes coming back to your home at the end of a long day feel that little bit more special.

I especially love our Hampton sofa. I think it is such a unique, statement piece. The adjustable headrests are not only practical but also add a sense of movement, making it a very dynamic design. I have just ordered one for myself and can’t wait to have it delivered!

I have been as an Interior Designer for BoConcept Edinburgh for nearly three years and have had the opportunity to work on a range of very exciting and fun projects. My home is a mixture of modern pieces and mid century classics with various artwork.
I enjoy the simplicity and calmness of minimal design but I also take great pleasure in playing with different colours and textures. My work motto is “Good design should be functional and practical but also aesthetically pleasing”. Drop me an email and lets chat interiors!
I love the Fusion chair – Its shape and form, coming from origami inspiration. It would be the statement piece of your room.

As a qualified Kilt maker I am always surrounded by beautiful cloth and colour. I love that from a simple piece of cloth I can construct a full garment that will last the wearer a lifetime and even longer. Its this passion and detail that I love to bring to my clients here at BoConcept. Building up a relationship and fully understanding their needs, be it a sofa to a full home design. I want my clients to have that same feeling of quality and attention to detail, knowing that this is the solution that is going to last them a lifetime.
I really love the Rubi Table, It’s such a beautifully functional piece of BoConcept design.  Moving from Coffee Table to Dining Table in three simple steps. I don’t think we have a piece in the collection that emphasises the Danish design aesthetic more.

I am currently studying at university and have a passion for interiors and architecture.  Walking into a space my instinct is to visualise how I would alter it . The way you use and feel in a space is important to me, and in my opinion should shape the design the most.  Whether it your own home or workplace you should be content and it should reflect you.
Interior design is a great way to express yourself and working with BoConcept, it allows me to make every design unique to the client.  For me, building these relationships and making a client’s their vision become a reality is complete satisfaction.

I love the Augusta dining table at the moment – especially in the dark marble ceramic.  It’s simple, timeless and would not look out of place in a casual or formal dining area. With it’s exposed black legs and sophisticated curves it pairs well with the Vienna or Newport dining chairs – two of my other favourites.

Prior to joining BoConcept, I have worked as a senior stylist / property stylist for many years.  I have always been involved in working closely with clients and customers in store providing an excellent customer experience, from the moment they set foot in the store.  Building great relationships with clients within the store is what motivates me as well as being able to influence them on how their homes can look.

I firmly believe that having the ability to look around your home and be extremely content with the way it looks and feels, is how things should be.  Whether it’s in work or in my own home, I love to declutter and style daily.  Creating that perfect ambience within my household is truly what makes me happy in life.  Having the ability to do this for customers provides me with the ultimate satisfaction.

My favourite piece is the Charlotte Chair in White Lazio fabric. I love the clean lines and natural form of this chair, the lazio fabric is my absolute favorite at the moment and think it would be a great addition to my livingroom right now.

I love the Carmo Sofa – I would have it in Pink Leeds or Pink Felt. I think it has a really retro boxy look. It’s perfect, as a 60s/70s feel with loads of colour is my interior style. I’m not sure if I would have the motorised version but I would definitely go for a chaise for lounging.
When I am not working I run The Edinburgh Craft Club. We run craft and design workshops across Scotland.

I started at BoConcept in 2019. Prior to joining BoConcept I studied and worked in Dundee meandering back and forth from London. Off the shop floor, I am likely to be found at my workbench at home surrounded by hand tools and gardening gear.

It would be hard for me to choose one piece however I would say that Henrik Pedersen would be my go-to BoConcept designer. I love his use of structure- clean lines which are softened up with curves and other materials. I think his designs really compliment the fabrics and finishes BoConcept is recognised for. Having said that I can’t wait to start lounging on my Amsterdam sofa.

Honours Diploma Interior Design
Originally from Toronto, Canada, I came to travel the world and set up a little hub but I ended up staying for the fish and chips and haggis (how could I forget about the haggis).  I love learning about anything and everything and can act like a human sponge at times!  Take me to a pub quiz and you’ll see, I am a master on pop culture and movie trivia. Being happy and positive mind as well be my middle name as well! Always here to uplift everyone, whether its being positive about interiors or pushing people to become the best they can be.
I love the Vienna Dining Chairs.  The sleek style combined with great comfort is a combination to die for.  Being able to choose between static legs or swivel is a luxury and I love the look of them in our leathers.  The stitching detail really comes out beautifully in our pure aniline collection.
