I have been the manager at BoConcept Edinburgh since opening the doors in 2016. With over fifteen years experience in retail management, providing exceptional customer service is such an important aspect of my role. This has also helped me to build a strong team of designers.
It is so important for us to achieve an unforgettable experience for each and every client who visit us at the Studio.
I strongly believe that every interior should be as unique as the people using the space, so I love helping our clients find pieces that reflect their personalities.
My favourite piece has to be the Boston Armchair. It provides a statement in any room with its beautiful stitching detail and sleek lines, yet it can swivel, recline and is so comfortable too. ( Yes I do have one at home!)

BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction
Since graduating with Distinction in a BA (Hons) Costume Design & Construction, from Queen Margaret University in 2016, I have been working as a Designer with BoConcept. My career started as Design Consultant with the Edinburgh studio.
Being fortunate enough to join the company just as we were opening, to say that I got my hands dirty during the launch is an understatement! I’d never held a power tool in my life until then.
Two years later I moved to Glasgow as the Design Manager, fell in love with a property of my own, in a converted 1800s sugar mill, and have been redesigning it ever since. As they say, no rest for the wicked.
Science tells us that the viewing of art and good design increases our dopamine levels and the activity in the brain’s frontal cortex, which results in a feeling of pleasure, comparable only to the feeling of falling in love. So truly, a beautiful home must be where the heart is after all.

BA (Hons) Painting and Printmaking
I joined the BoConcept team in 2018. Since graduating I have participated in several exhibitions including showcasing my work at the National Gallery of Scotland with the Royal Scottish Society of Artists Specialising in Watercolour. I love painting in my spare time and displaying my artwork in my own home, bring a splash of colour to my interiors.
I think our interiors say a lot about ourselves and I love to get to know my clients and help them to create a space which reflects them. I think having a space you feel comfortable and happy in is so important for your wellbeing, it also makes coming back to your home at the end of a long day feel that little bit more special.
I especially love our Hampton sofa. I think it is such a unique, statement piece. The adjustable headrests are not only practical but also add a sense of movement, making it a very dynamic design. I have just ordered one for myself and can’t wait to have it delivered!

BA Honours in Textile Design

I’m a Contract Designer at BoConcept in Edinburgh and my role is to help people to create a perfect environment to grow and develop their business. I’m passionate about simple and functional design as well as local creative communities. To provide a platform to connect with like-minded individuals and bring the design industry together I’ve started BoBreakfast, a monthly event hosted by BoConcept Scotland for the Edinburgh community with aim to share good practice and knowledge.
I’ve also run Polymorphics, an independent company specializing in design and handcrafting contemporary home objects. Along that I’m a tutor hosting a number of creative workshops at We Make; a studio/ workshop / retail space based in central Edinburgh.

I love the Augusta dining table at the moment – especially in the dark marble ceramic. It’s simple, timeless and would not look out of place in a casual or formal dining area. With it’s exposed black legs and sophisticated curves it pairs well with the Vienna or Newport dining chairs – two of my other favourites.

BDes Hons Interior & Environmental Design
I started at BoConcept in 2019. Prior to joining BoConcept I studied and worked in Dundee meandering back and forth from London. Off the shop floor, I am likely to be found at my workbench at home surrounded by hand tools and gardening gear.
It would be hard for me to choose one piece however I would say that Henrik Pedersen would be my go-to BoConcept designer. I love his use of structure- clean lines which are softened up with curves and other materials. I think his designs really compliment the fabrics and finishes BoConcept is recognised for. Having said that I can’t wait to start lounging on my Amsterdam sofa.
