Getting your home ready for the changing seasons can be achieved through just a few small changes. Introducing our new range of accessories for the new year – taking inspiration from the latest trends across the world, available in a wide range of colours and materials to suit any home.
Here at BoConcept, we work with many different styles and motifs, but to keep our showrooms as simple to understand as possible, we split our styles into two distinct themes. Our designers carry this theming into their own designs for clients as well as their homes. To differentiate the styles, here’s a rundown of what each theme means.
This season’s metropolitan palette comes rooted in deep, saturated earthy tones an amplified response to our desire for the natural. Its base of black now veers into subtly brown and blue territories as well. Root Deluxe’s ripe hues come alive when paired with dark oaks, natural leathers and plush fabrics. The result is an aesthetic rich in mood and drama.
Soft Neutrals gives designs and spaces a warm and natural aesthetic. Our expression curated for Scandi lovers exchanges the traditional Nordic base of white and near whites for warmer, creamier hues. Added colours arrive light and make for the perfect accompaniments to blond oak, light ceramics and the industrial accent of cement.
Which style do you prefer? The rich drama of Root Deluxe? Or the quiet serenity of Soft Neutrals? Lately, we have seen a resurgence in the calm neutral aesthetic in popular culture. However, with the darker, colder days coming closer and closer, more have been drawn to the warm feeling of the darker, richer trend.
Our new collection of accessories builds on these two themes, creating modern yet timeless pieces that are the excellent finishing touch to a stylish space. Want to see the full collection? Check out our product page for the full rundown.
WHAT’S YOUR ROOM COLOUR?
More often than not, when we are updating our homes we would like to update our colours as well. We’ve taken the top trending four colours of the year to give you our tips on styling them, as well as out top picks from the new collection that would complete the looks.
Grey continues to build on its 19/20 demand, growing cool and dense. Stunning on their own, these tones also pair beautifully with neutrals. The palette crosses from light greys to dark slates, with chrome still present. The demand is powered by the revival of Brutalist architecture and its material of choice: cement.
This season, our dusty 2019/20 greens morph into muted organic shades. Colours range from nourishing olive tones to near-grey desaturated tints. The palette delivers a sense of warm calm and helps satisfy our anti-tech-fuelled longing for the natural.
Blue continues to ride its wave of Interiors popularity. This season the colour submerges into a deeper and more muted territory. The palette ranges from greyish hues to inky indigos. Forever versatile, the colour pairs best this season with dark oaks and other blue shades for a tone-on-tone look.
This trend stems from fashion’s recent embrace of the 70s staple brown. Although present last year, brown grows in momentum, becoming richer and more vibrant. A palette you can almost taste arrives in delicious chocolate and deeper truffle hues; and evokes a sense of luxury and sophistication.
