THE BRIEF

After our client moved to the city, they found themselves with a completely blank canvas of a space. After chatting to Veronika, one of Edinburgh's Design Consultants, they created a plan and theme for the space based around a Metropolitan theme. Although the client enjoys the paired back, Scandinavian look, they found that they were more drawn to the luxurious materials and deep hues of the more metropolitan style.
Veronika then created the entire layout, fabric and furniture choices for the entire space in one evening, and the client feel in love.
The main challenge was the need for multifunction. Ideal for city living, the whole space has to work for living, dining, and entertaining; all while being suited most of the time for single occupancy. Modular options with extending functions were chosen, opting for pieces that have clever storage, as well as being ornamental.

Veronika Hajdu

Born in Sweden, I moved to Scotland in 2012. I joined BoConcept in 2021, currently being one of the newest designers on the team. However, I am an interior designer with over 6 years of industry experience. Graduating from the University of Edinburgh, I have been involved in multiple interior design projects: renovating a bar, creating brand-new spaces for air-bnb’s and more.

When not designing, I enjoy lengthy nature walks, travelling, photography and of course dogs. Dogs in any form, I love them all. And lucky me – BoConcept allows dogs in our Edinburgh shop!
