beyond boconcept

When you are designing your ideal space, it is unusual to find everything you are looking for all in one place – though our Danish design team are working hard to change that. At BoConcept Scotland we are passionate about helping you create an interior that not only expresses your style, but is the best possible fit for your lifestyle. We realise that sometimes the best solutions for your home may not lie within our collection (although we hope that some of them will!), so have curated a list of the top five design destinations in Glasgow that might just have something to fit the bill. After all, we know good design when we see it!

Don’t worry East Coast-ers, we haven’t forgotten you. We’ll be sharing our top five Edinburgh destinations with you soon…

Why we love it

The store itself maybe fairly compact, but you will find wall-to-wall covetable pieces from some of our favourite Danish – and Scottish – design brands, including furniture, lighting, homewares and stationery. You will also find a bright collection of locally sourced houseplants and flowers waiting outside to greet you, and some amazing lifestyle treats tucked away up at the back.

Why we love it

Nestled in the heart of the Southside and just a stone’s throw from Queen’s Park, Aume is small (but exquisitely formed), haven of tranquility, and home to a refined collection of delicate, tactile, homewares. Specialising primarily in small scale pieces, Aume also sells larger items of furniture from time to time.

Why we love it

It’s not everyone that can say that their house was so overflowing with treasures that they needed to open an actual shop. But then I Am Nomad’s house was never a normal home – acting as a showhome where (almost) everything was available to purchase. Stocked with a wide range of eye-catching furnishings from vintage mid-century pieces, that could be mistaken for being new – they are in such good condition – to contemporary Scandinavian designs.

Tucked up in the lobby of the CCA, Welcome Home is a great place to find homewares, stationery and jewellery from some of the best local designers and recent art school graduates. Perfect for finding something a little unusual to bring character to a space.
